SÍNTOMAS DE UNA CIERTA CONTEMPORANEIDAD: CINE(S) EN EL S. XXI

When more than a century has passed since the birth of cinema, when the recurring announcements of its demise have already been overcome, it seems evident that cinema is more alive than ever in this new century. SÍNTOMAS DE UNA CIERTA CONTEMPORANEIDAD: CINE(S) EN EL S. XXI aims to scrutinize, in a transversal and non-canonical manner, what audiovisual forms certain contemporary filmmakers are crafting, from perspectives that are distant from each other—both in terms of aesthetics and geography—to inquire about the eternal problem of cinema: How to understand the complex world we inhabit through the moving image?
