\nMundos por venir | Worlds to come
\nAsistimos a una profunda mutaci\u00f3n del mundo y de nuestra relaci\u00f3n con el mundo. La evidencia de la cat\u00e1strofe clim\u00e1tica nos ha hecho atravesar un cierto umbral que, en palabras de Bruno Latour, podr\u00eda enunciarse as\u00ed: hemos cambiado de mundo. Esta mutaci\u00f3n consumada se ve llevada al extremo por la irrupci\u00f3n p\u00fablica de la Inteligencia Artificial generativa y por las convulsiones geopol\u00edticas que amenazan las democracias. Hablar entonces de \u00abmundos por venir\u00bb es un modo de apelar, desde los m\u00e1rgenes de la propia Universidad, a la pluralidad de mundos posibles m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del totalitarismo tecnol\u00f3gico y de la devastadora situaci\u00f3n global. Nuestra mirada est\u00e1 puesta en el futuro de los mundos, pero la acci\u00f3n necesaria para componerlos arraiga en el presente. Desde un pluralismo epist\u00e9mico y ontol\u00f3gico apelamos a ese \u00abpor venir\u00bb aqu\u00ed y ahora: necesitamos encontrar herramientas para pensar nuestra situaci\u00f3n presente y para vislumbrar l\u00edneas posibles de acci\u00f3n, de transformaci\u00f3n y de resistencia. Como dir\u00eda Donna Haraway,\u00abel Antropoceno no tiene que ser el fin de los mundos por venir; es un l\u00edmite, no un destino.\u00bb<\/p>\n

We are witnessing a profound mutation of the world and of our relationship with the world. The evidence of climate catastrophe has pushed us over a certain threshold which, in the words of Bruno Latour, could be stated as follows: we have changed the world. This accomplished mutation is pushed to the extreme by the public irruption of generative Artificial Intelligence and by the geopolitical upheavals that threaten democracies. To speak then of \u00abworlds to come\u00bb is a way of appealing, from the margins of the University itself, to the plurality of possible worlds beyond technological totalitarianism and the devastating global situation. Our gaze is set on the future of worlds, but the action needed to compose them is rooted in the present. From an epistemic and ontological pluralism we appeal to that \u00abto come\u00bb here and now: we need to find tools to think about our present situation and to envision possible lines of action, transformation and resistance. As Donna Haraway would say, \u00abthe Anthropocene does not have to be the end of the worlds to come; it is a limit, not a destination\u00bb.<\/p>\n
